The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that we're not always ruled by chance, but that we do in fact have the power to change our lives by making decisions.
In the center of the card, a wheel spins around, with figures climbing around its outer sphere. A serpent descending on the left represents the life-force on its descent into manifestation, while the jackal-headed Anubis attempts to ascend on the wheel's southeastern aspect. At the top, a sphinx symbolizes wisdom. The wheel has three spheres: the inner level is the creative force, the middle represents formative power, and the outer ring is the material world. The eight spokes of the wheel represent the universal energy.

The Wheel of Fortune card reminds us that we're not always governed by chance or fate, but that we have the power to change our lives. When this card appears in a spread, expect success thanks to some intelligent decisions, a change of fortune for the better, or significant creative evolution.

Reversed, the Wheel indicates stagnation and setbacks. New conditions require you to be courageous and take some big steps, but remember that the energy you put into an endeavor will come back to you many times.
